Hi, I'm Noelene

I'm the founder of Rural Sobriety, and I'll be your mentor and guide through this shift. I've been where you are, and I'm here to help you find a way through too.

After 20 years of being a high-functioning overdrinker, I now help rural women find a gentler way forward without alcohol - one small, steady shift at a time.

I understand just how tough it can be when alcohol gets a hold. I get it because I've been there.

I drank every day to forget. To stop the pain and the heartache. To cope and to survive. I never imagined I'd be the one quietly struggling with alcohol, but there I was.

I tried to quit so many times, but nothing ever truly stuck. Until 2020 when I found the formula that finally worked for me.

Once I'd put my own life back together, I retrained to become the support person I so desperately needed back then - the one I couldn't find in rural Australia. I needed someone who truly understood rural life - it's beauty, it's traditions, it's rhythms and it's challenges. And I needed someone who also truly understood how hard it is to try to quit drinking in rural Australia.

It's now my life's purpose and passion to help rural women just like us to quit drinking and rebuild our lives with small steps and real support through the tough times. Because I know first hand how tough it can be to do it alone.

For the past few years I've been supporting rural women through this shift. And here's what I've learned - having someone in your corner, someone you know and trust, who gets your world because she's been there - makes all the difference. No fuss, no drama and no BS. Just good old fashioned common sense, kindness and real support.

I only work with a few women at a time, so you'll never feel like just another number. I'll be there when you need me.

I've designed this private coaching program especially for rural, regional and remote Australian women just like us. This is not a detox or a challenge and it's not about willpower or missing out. This is about making lasting change. While still living the life you love.

The Six Month Shift will help you identify what's leading you to drink (pun intended), and only then can you fill your own toolbox with the resources and skills you need to manage everything you have going on in a healthier, happier and more productive way. By practising these new strategies every day they will become second nature. That's when true freedom from alcohol comes.

what to expect from your Six Month SHIFT

Step 1. Let's start with a QUIET CHAT

This is your time to share your story in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space. It's hard to reach out and ask for help, so you won't be rushed or given the hard sell at the end of our chat.

But you will leave with a plan and a few strategies you can implement straight away, whether we decide to work together or not. I only work with a small amount of women at a time, so if we are a good fit and there is a place available, then let's do it. Don't wait for the perfect time to get started, because we both know that time will never come.

Step 2. Take SMALL STEPS daily

Learning to live life without alcohol to take the edge off takes time and practice. We will build small steps into your routine that are manageable and make sense for you and your life. Every day you'll be making small shifts in your thinking and your behaviour so you build a strong foundation for lasting change. These soon add up when you are consistent and committed.

Step 3. Lean on me for REAL SUPPORT

I'll be with you every day for the first two weeks, checking in to guide and support you. You won't be left hanging in those really important first few days. Then as you gain your strength and build your toolbox with skills and strategies, we'll space out the support in a way that makes sense for you. For the next six months you'll have regular strategy sessions, and text and email support between our catch ups. You won't ever be left alone, lean on me for support when you need it.

Step 4. Feel the LASTING CHANGE

As you commit to the process and begin to trust yourself again, you will soon start to feel the shift happen. It might just be small changes at first, but in no time at all you will start to feel life is easier and better without hangovers and all the negative things alcohol brings.
